We all know Easter as a religious festivity celebrated on the first full moon of spring, and Mark Petrie’s team consider it a time to spend with the family.
It is a break where this family spend the days together flying kites, going to the beach or walks in the hills doing jun activities like the spanish tradition of cracking hard borted eggs on Daddy’s forehead.
In this Easter newsletter, we want to suggest some fun activities for this coming holiday to enjoy with your kids.
WHY ARE EGGS GIVEN IN EASTER?
Centuries ago, the Catholic Church forbid to consume eggs during Lent in preparation for Easter. However -obviously- the hens continued to lay eggs during these dates and the Christians kept the eggs, previously cooked and with a layer of wax, to be given at Easter. There are those who say that they were painted in colors to differentiate them from fresh eggs. In recent times and to the delight of the children, the chicken eggs have been replaced by chocolate eggs and they are told that they have been brought by the Peter Rabbit.

STEPS TO FOLLOW:
1- We boil the egg for 8-10 minutes.
2- Let the egg dry and cool down
3- Use your imagination!
